Ilive in Utrecht, the Netherlands and i’m a Fusion Middleware specialist. I have over 10 years of experience in IT and studied Computer Science at the University of Applied Sciences in Utrecht where I received my BCS in 2007.
Before my graduation I started as a graphical designer and web developer, but soon shifted my focus on Fusion Middleware. My career started just before the release of Oracle SOA suite 10gR3 and progressed heavily from there.
Currently I’m one of the expertise leads on Integration, Internet of Things and Cloud at AMIS. AMIS is specialised at most of the facets of the Oracle Red Stack and is initiator of the Red Expert Alliance, a group of well-known Oracle partners.
lately MY focus is shifting towards Cloud and connecting the physical world, world of IoT, with the existing IT. Using the Oracle offerings and open source solutions.
My fascination for using the latest technology had led to the research of Blockchain to replace the currently used B2B patterns and tooling. Currenly I’m writing a book about Blockchain across Oracle.
I’m a speaker at (international) conferences, a frequent blogger, and participate in OTN ArchBeat Podcasts. I’m also a member of the board of the Dutch Oracle User Group (nlOUG) and organize SIG meetups.
I work closely with the SOA Oracle Product Management team by participating in the Beta programs. In 2017, I was named Oracle Developer Champion, but also hold the Oracle ACE title for SOA and Middleware, because of my contributions to the community. I’m a co-author of the first Oracle PaaS book published, about Oracle Integration Cloud Service, which was published in January 2017.
